Society open by appointment only

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and advice from government on social distancing and working from home, the building is only open on appointment with the venue hire team.

Please note that our access to the post is very limited, and we apologise for the delay in responding to any post you send us.

Accessibility at the Society

  • Wheelchair spaces and an induction loop are available in the Ondaatje Theatre.

  • Personal assistants or carers can usually be accommodated at events (please let the event organiser know in advance).

  • Registered assistance dogs are welcome.

  • An accessible toilet is available.

Opening hours

The Society is currently closed to visitors until further notice. The building is only open by appointment with the venue hire team.

Please note the Piccadilly line will not stop at South Kensington station until spring 2022.

Cycling: There are a number of public bicycle racks in the area, including one (capacity: 14) on the north side of the Society's building.
