New co-editors are being sought for three of the Society’s journals: Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, Area, and Geo: Geography and Environment.
Our journal editors are internationally recognised scholars with a broad interest in the full range of research being undertaken in geography. They work alongside their co-editors and are responsible for encouraging submissions, as well as actively promoting and contributing to the strategic development of their journal.
Transactions is one of the leading international journals for geographical research. It publishes the very best academic papers from across the breadth of the discipline that make a major theoretical, conceptual or empirical contribution to the advancement of geographical understanding.
Area is an outlet for new ideas and debates. The journal publishes high quality research on all aspects of both physical and human geography, and welcomes submissions from postgraduates and early career researchers.
Geo: Geography and Environment is a fully open access, online-only, international journal publishing a range of high quality geographical, environmental, and interdisciplinary research. The journal also has an associated blog and Twitter feed.
Applications for the positions, which are for an initial five year term starting in January 2019, should include a letter of interest with associated plans for the journal, a curriculum vitae and names of two referees who could provide letters of support. Please send your application to Dr Catherine Souch by 19 October 2018.
