Following a review of activity and engagement, we have decided to consolidate our Chartered Geographer LinkedIn presence from two groups to a single new showcase page, where we will continue to share content related to our Chartered Geographer accreditation scheme, as well as other professional development news and resources.
The two groups to close are the Chartered Geographer (CGeog) group and the Working towards Chartered Geographer group, both of which will be permanently deleted at the end of March 2023, giving members plenty of time to follow the new page.
The new showcase page will be a digital space dedicated to sharing information with those working towards Chartered Geographer status, whether they are early in their career or already meet the eligibility requirements, and Chartered Geographers themselves, helping them to make valuable connections, and share insights and experience.

Chartered Geographer is the Society’s internationally recognised accreditation for professionals who demonstrate expertise in applying geographical skills, knowledge and understanding; innovating; acting professionally; and communicating and influencing in a range of professional settings.
Chartered Geographers advance their expertise over the course of their career through their commitment to continuing professional development, and professional engagement with peers and wider networks.
