The Society congratulates all those students receiving their A Level geography results today.
Published this morning, this year’s results show a small drop in the number of students sitting A Level geography exams. 33,538 students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland sat the exams this year – a decrease of 11.3% compared to the 2017 figures of 37,814.
Head of Education and Outdoor Learning at the Society, Steve Brace, said: “The students’ grades are testament to their hard work, and the support they received from their geography teachers. A Level geography helps young people secure places at some of the most prestigious universities. We’d also like to celebrate the success of young people who will be starting their undergraduate geography courses in the autumn.”
