The Society is delighted to announce ERM, the world’s leading environmental and sustainability consulting firm, as a new Corporate Benefactor.
ERM’s initial three year sponsorship will focus on supporting the Society in developing further its work to advance the professional development of geographers. The collaboration will focus on two areas, with more weight on the first.
- Meeting the need to upskill secondary school teachers of geography with the knowledge, skills and confidence to plan and deliver local, high quality, environmental fieldwork.
- Regional professional development activities and networking for Chartered Geographers and other geography practitioners, across sectors, starting in Manchester.
The Society also warmly thanks corporate benefactors Esri UK and Trailfinders for renewing their sponsorships for a further three years, in support of the Geography Ambassadors programme and learning through informed travel, respectively.
