This year marks 200 years since the discovery of Antarctica, and to celebrate the British Antarctic Territory (BAT) is running a competition for children aged 4-17 to design an official postage stamp for the territory.

The theme is ‘Discovering Antarctica’ and there are four age categories: 4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-13 years, and 14-17 years. The winners of each category will have their designs featured on official stamps, with the winning and runner up entries shown as part of a display.

For inspiration for your entries, visit the Discovering Antarctica website which is filled with facts, activities, images and videos to help you learn more about this amazing continent.   

The closing date for entries is Tuesday 12 May.
