Eric Wilson's death on 29 October 2013 deprives the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) of one of its most loyal and supportive Fellows. His business career had been in agricultural marketing and co-operation, having served as an executive of the UK's largest agricultural co-operative and as President of the European Marketing Board and Co-operative Organisation. His education at The West of Scotland Agricultural College laid the foundations for a lasting involvement in promoting agricultural education and in promoting agricultural development around the world. He became a trustee of The Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth and a supporter of many agricultural charities. He served with distinction as Master of the Worshipful Company of Woolmen and as Director of Development at The Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in Edinburgh.
