Join our webinars on funding for student fieldwork

In preparation for the Society’s upcoming fieldwork grants deadlines, we are running a series of free webinars for students looking to secure funding for fieldwork in 2022.

Each year the Society awards grants to more than 40 student fieldwork projects, supporting fieldwork across the full breadth of geography. The two one-hour sessions, one focused for undergraduates and one for postgraduates, will provide an introduction to the Society’s grants programme and the different grants available. The webinars will also provide guidance on how to write a strong grant application, including what assessors will be looking out for, as well as give an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. 

The sessions are on:

• Tuesday 12 October 2021, 1.00pm-2.00pm - Grant funding for fieldwork – a webinar for postgraduates

• Wednesday 24 November 2021, 1.00pm-2.00pm - Grant funding for fieldwork – a webinar for undergraduates

The Society offers a range of grants for students, early-career and established researchers, and teachers, as well as independent travel grants.
