Research Group grants awarded

Every year we support the Society’s 31 Research and Working Groups through the Research Groups grants scheme, and we are delighted to be supporting the following over the coming year.

• The Carceral Geographies Working Group for development of their website, their ‘Early Career Perspectives’ seminar series, and their book review series.

• The Coastal and Marine Research Group for a workshop that will explore coastal experiences through multiple geographical lenses.

• The Digital Geographies Research Group for a podcast series.

• The Food Geographies Research Group for workshops that will develop discussions that started in their ‘Decolonising Food Geographies’ seminar series.  

• The Gender and Feminist Geographies Research Group’s organisation of and participation in the International Feminist Geographies Conference.

• The Geographies of Justice Research Group for a ‘Dialogues in Radical Geography’ seminar series.

• The Latin American Geographies Working Group for an ‘Away Weekend’ for PhD students and Early Career Researchers.

• The Planning and Environment Research Group for an early career workshop.

• The Population Geography Research Group’s transcription of oral history interviews project, which aims to document the history of the research group.

• The Rural Geography Research Group’s 50th anniversary event.
