The Society is delighted that James T Murphy (Clark University) and Pádraig Carmody (University of Dublin) have received a prestigious award from the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences (RAOS) for their RGS-IBG Book Series title, Africa’s Information Revolution: Technical Regimes and Production Networks in South Africa and Tanzania.
Each year the RAOS, based in Belgium, organises a competition in order to stimulate high-quality scientific research. The competition is open to all scientists worldwide, and applicants are invited to respond to specific questions or issues as determined by the Academy.
James and Pádraig’s book will be officially recognised with the title “Prizewinner of the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences” at the RAOS meeting in October 2016.
