The renowned American geographer and conservationist, Esmond B. Martin, left the Society an endowment for an annual prize in his name - the Esmond B. Martin Royal Geographical Society Prize.
The Prize consists of one or two annual awards that recognise outstanding achievement by individuals in the pursuit and/or application of geographical research across the breadth of the discipline, with a particular emphasis on wildlife conservation and environmental research studies.
The call for nominations for the inaugural Prize is now open. To make a nomination please read the nomination guidelines and complete the nomination form.
The closing date for nominations is 5 January 2023.
