We're excited to launch a new photography competition, Earth Photo, developed in partnership with the Forestry Commission England. Photographers of all ages, both amateur and professional, are invited to submit up to ten photographs or films that focus on the key themes of people, nature, place and change.
The competition and resulting exhibition aim to reveal the stories behind the pictures: informing, entertaining and engaging audiences, and encouraging conversations about their subjects.
The competition is open to national and international photographers of all ages, and shortlisted works will be exhibited in our Pavilion this summer. All entries must have been completed since January 2016.
The submitted photographs and films will be judged by a distinguished panel including Yvonne Barmettler from the Natural History Museum in Basel, Switzerland and Clare Grafik, Head of Exhibitions at The Photographer’s Gallery in London. Prizes include editorial coverage in Society publications and inclusion in our world-renowned Picture Library, as well as opportunities with the Forestry Commission England. The deadline for entries is 5.00pm on Monday 18 June.
