This summer, after competing for Team Scotland in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Karen hand cycled 1,500km along the course of the Murray River in Australia. She made the journey not just to learn about the impact that climate change and irrigation are having on the river, but also to have time to reflect and think about the next steps in her life and her career.
During the programme, Karen meets the people who know the river best and contemplates how the changing course of the river shares similarities with her own transient feelings and upcoming decisions she needs to make.
Karen recorded this video with us whilst she was editing her programme at BBC Radio 4.
We hope you’ll tune in to listen to From Source to Sea via Me, tomorrow morning at 11.00am.
