Are you an enthusiastic undergraduate geographer looking to gain office-based work experience? Don’t miss the chance to apply for a two-week work experience placement with the Society.
The Society provides two-week office-based work experience placements for undergraduate geographers during the Christmas, Easter and summer holidays.
The work experience placements give students the opportunity to find out more about what the Society does, and contribute to the work of a number of departments.
Abi Whitefield, a current undergraduate student at the University of St Andrews, completed a work experience placement in December 2016. She worked within the Society’s Communications and Discovering Britain teams.
Abi said: “The placement has been a fantastic experience and has enabled me to learn more about the Society’s work. I’ve been given a variety of interesting tasks, including completing communications research for the Migrants on the Margins project. This placement has enabled me to develop skills which employers will search for in the future, and it will look great on my CV!”
