AuthorAID is providing an online course Research Writing in the Social Sciences to support researchers in low and middle income countries, beginning on Monday 6 April.
The Society is working with AuthorAID to provide content and resources specific to geographers in a number of optional modules as part of this course.
Course overview
AuthorAID’s research writing online courses have trained over 11,000 participants in low and middle income countries since 2015. This seven week course focuses on writing for social science disciplines. You will learn to:

Use appropriate pathways to access published research literature

Describe the key issues in research and publication ethics

Identify suitable target journals for publishing their research

Draft a research manuscript by following journal guidelines

Deal with the peer review process
