The Geography Ambassador Scheme offers a great way to enhance your geography students’ employability, as well as building links between your department, local schools and the Society. It’s a great opportunity to build on their course content, inspire local school pupils to take the subject further, gaining valuable, employable experience along the way.
Universities currently involved in the scheme tend to host training events for the newest cohort of students signed up to the scheme but students are welcome to attend any other training sessions that take place around the country.
These are the universities currently involved in the scheme.
The scheme is an excellent way of improving links between your department and local schools, raising awareness of the university amongst pupils and widening participation in further and higher education.
A Storymap showing what happens over a year in the Geography Ambassador Scheme can be found here.
