Recent years have seen significant changes in the management of migration across the world. From the renewed growth of border building and securitisation, to the mass displacements of the Syrian conflict and the ongoing refugee crisis, migration has become a critical issue of our age.
But what can geography tell us about these rapid changes in migration? This lecture explores the skills that geographers can bring to the issue.
