The Society offers a range of support for professional geographers working in the public sector, including professional accreditation. Chartered Geographer is the Society's professional accreditation for those using their geographical skills, knowledge and understanding in the workplace.

To support those working in the public sector and considering chartership, we are running a tailored, free webinar on Thursday 23 March at 12.30pm to help you learn more about the benefits of accreditation, how accreditation is considered within public sector appraisal processes, the support available while preparing your application, and top tips for making your application stand out.
We will also be running a four-week application accelerator course for public sector geographers, beginning on Thursday 27 April, to support those eligible for Chartered Geographer in preparing their application portfolio. Across four 30-minute sessions, running each Thursday at 12.30pm, the webinars will provide an opportunity to learn more about the application process, ask questions, and work through key aspects of your application.
