Seven new courses provided by Esri have now received accreditation and are suitable for Chartered Geographer continuing professional development (CPD).
CPD is an integral part of applying for and maintaining Chartered Geographer status, demonstrating that you are committed to developing your career by keeping your knowledge, skills and experience up to date.
Esri’s newly accredited courses are a mix of one and two-day workshops which include using spatial analysis in ArcGIS Pro, creating maps with ArcGIS and an introduction to building sweet for ArcGIS applications, among others. Each course is worth a minimum of 5 CPD points, with two-day workshops awarding 10 CPD points upon completion.
Chartered Geographers are expected to complete 35 hours of CPD each year. The Society offers a range of meetings, courses and events in London and around the UK which are suitable for CGeog CPD – look for the Chartered Geographer 'kitemark' when browsing events our website.

Chartered Geographer is the only internationally recognised accreditation for geographers and recognises competence, experience and professionalism in the use of geographical knowledge, skills and understanding in the workplace.
