As the UK's learned society and professional body for geography, we champion and advance the discipline and work with many different audiences. We exist to enhance understanding of our world.
Geography has never been more important in helping us to understand our rapidly changing world.
Our field research, expeditions and outdoor learning centre offers advice, CPD and training courses for youth leaders, teachers and field researchers, including the famous Explore weekend conference.
Reference resources are found in our Foyle Reading Room, and the online expedition reports and field centres databases. Grant support is available.
We are also actively engaged in outdoor learning and fieldwork policy in the UK.
We offer practical advice, as well as a range of training workshops and sessions to support your work in the field.
Our grants programme develops new knowledge and advances geographical science, supporting geographical research in the UK and overseas.
We hold a unique collection of over 5,000 expedition reports detailing achievements and results of research from almost every country in the world.
