The Society’s remarkable exhibition of aerial photographs is now on display in Liverpool.
Britain from the Air opened last week and is now on display for free at ACC Liverpool until 31 October 2017. This follows a successful display in Nottingham city centre.
The contemporary aerial images provide unique perspectives of some of the UK’s most striking and thought-provoking landscapes, with the exhibition’s panels exploring the dynamic processes that shape our landscapes but are often forgotten. The free exhibition forms part of a wider initiative by the Society to engage the public with the UK’s places, environments and people.
The exhibition can be found beside Liverpool’s Big Wheel and opposite the Beatles Story.
Britain from the Air was created jointly by the Society and street gallery pioneers Wecommunic8. It is supported by world travel clothing company Craghoppers, the Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust and Rolex.
Writer and journalist Tim Marshall will discuss the influence of geography on history and politics.
