The deadline for this year’s Young Geographer of the Year competition is fast approaching.
The competition, run in partnership with Geographical magazine, gives students the opportunity to explore the geography of the Arctic. Through doing the research needed to produce their competition entries, pupils will discover what makes this polar environment unique and how changes in the Arctic can have global impacts.
The Rex Walford Award, open to trainee and newly qualified teachers, runs alongside the Young Geographer of the Year competition and requires teachers to produce a scheme of work on the same topic.
The deadline for both the Young Geographer of the Year Competition and the Rex Walford Award is Wednesday 10 October at 5.00pm – so get your entries in soon.
