John Price Williams, who has died aged 84, was a news writer, editor and producer for BBC radio news between 1966 and 1992, after an early career at local newspapers and then national papers as a journalist. Upon retiring from a long and impactful career he remained ever active with study, writing and consultancies. In addition to his role as a Fellow, John supported the Society in various communications activities which included writing The Home of Geography and The Voice of Geography, which explored in-depth the history of Lowther Lodge and the Society respectively.
