From tonight’s lecture on the politics of climate change in the wake of the recent UN summit to high-altitude climbing and modern research expeditions, the Society’s Monday night lectures feature informative speakers discussing a wide range of fascinating topics.
The Society’s popular Monday night lecture series features renowned speakers discussing informative, educational and enlightening subjects. From the latest geographical research to incredible accounts of historic and modern travel, all lectures focus on the Earth’s landscapes, people, places and environments.
Recent speakers include Alastair Fothergill, on the new BBC natural history series The Hunt; Dr Mike Collyer, on migration hotspots in developing countries; and photographer Nick Danziger, on documenting the impact of the Millennium Development Goals.
Our Monday night lectures are open to all RGS-IBG Fellows and members. On some occasions, Fellows and members are invited to bring one guest.
