A new Digital Geographies Working Group (DGWG) of the Society has just been approved, joining the 29 other Research and Working Groups.
Digital technologies are increasingly central to all our lives, prompting geographers from across the discipline to explore new data, tools, methods and theories in the field of digital geographies. The Society recently approved a Digital Geographies Working Group (DGWG), which brings together scholars and researchers from across geography and related disciplines working in this exciting area of geographical enquiry and research.
The Society now has 30 Research and Working Groups, networks of active researchers and those with a professional interest in a particular aspect of geography and related disciplines. Each group supports and promotes their area of geography, including running events, proposing sessions for the Annual International Conference, offering grants and dissertation awards, sharing information, and supporting the network of scholars in the UK and abroad with an interest in their branch of geography.
Fellows and members of the Society are entitled to join any Research Group; there is no additional cost, and no limit on the number of groups to which you may belong.
