As part of the Society’s partnership with Environmental Resources Management (ERM), we held a physical geography fieldwork day for teachers to support the better use of local sites for fieldwork and strengthen local teacher networks.
The fieldwork day, which took place at Point of Ayr, Flintshire, focused on coastal landscapes, processes and ecosystems within the context of environmental monitoring and protection work associated with the development of an onshore gas storage facility.
Despite the wet weather we had great feedback from those who attended the fieldwork day.
ERM, a leading environmental and sustainability firm, work with the Society to advance the professional development of geographers, particularly focusing on the knowledge and skills needed to plan and deliver high quality environmental fieldwork.
