Our Geographies of Health and Wellbeing Research Group are hosting a series of online discussion sessions on the realities of doing research that is personal.
The sessions were originally planned as an in-person ‘hack day’ – an event format that provides attendees with opportunities to discuss tricky questions in detail, work collectively to get to the heart of an issue, and to generate new ideas around it. However, with the current pandemic, the need to carefully attend to the ethical and emotional aspects of academia and research feels more prominent than ever.
Therefore, this year’s ‘hack day’ will instead be held as a series of three short virtual get-togethers over three weeks. They will run at the following days and times:
-
Friday 7 August at 10.00am-11.30am
-
Friday 14 August at 10.00am-11.30am
-
Thursday 20 August at 2.00pm-3.30pm
You can book free tickets for any of the sessions through Eventbrite.
