Find out more about proposing and running a Professional Practice Group
The framework for Professional Practice Groups is based upon and complementary to the Society's successful Research and Working Groups, some of which have been in operation for more than forty years (originally established within the Institute of British Geographers).
Professional Practice Groups will be encouraged to foster sector-specific networking and more in-depth and targeted professional development over a specified period of time, initially two years but potentially renewable.
A handbook for proposing and operating Professional Practice Groups will be published soon. If you are interested in proposing a Group in a specific sector or area of practice, please contact professional@rgs.org to arrange an initial conversation with the Professional and Policy Manager.
