Join the Society and chair Jonathan Dimbleby for an evening ‘Any Questions’-style debate on the future of the UK’s environment – whether in or out of the European Union.
People, politics and the planet: any questions? will be first opportunity to question leading politicians from across the political spectrum on the future of environmental policy in the UK in the aftermath of the EU Referendum.
Join the audience on 21 July to find out how the panellists propose to confront any challenges and capitalise on any opportunities for the environment posed by the consequence of the vote. Chaired by broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby, the event promises robust and lively discussion.
In or out of the EU, long-standing policy questions also need to be answered. Come find out how the major political parties plan to respond to competing demands on our environment; how they plan to incentivise sustainable patterns of consumption; and how they consider the UK can best work with others internationally to tackle challenges such as biodiversity loss, water scarcity and climate change.
