Geography and Environment, ‘Sticks and carrots: encouraging open science at its source’

We are delighted to announce that the Society’s new open access journal, Geo: Geography and Environment, has published its first paper: a commentary, co-authored by Sabina Leonelli, Daniel Spichtinger and Barbara Prainsack, entitled ‘Sticks and carrots: encouraging open science at its source’.

Geo is a fully open access journal which means that all published articles are immediately free to read and download online via the journal’s Wiley Online Library.

The journal has an associate Twitter account (@GeoOpenAccess) and blog where you can keep up-to-date with Geo’s latest papers and participate in discussions and debates surrounding the journal’s publications.
