The Society is delighted to announce that Dr Rob Bryant (University of Sheffield) has been appointed Physical and Environmental co-Editor of Area, his term is effective from 1 Jan 2016.
One of five scholarly journals published by the Society, Area publishes concise high quality papers and commentaries that shape key debates within and beyond the discipline of geography.
Rob takes over from Professor Paul Wood (Loughborough University) who completed a five year term. The Society would like to thank Paul for his stewardship of, and enthusiasm and support for, the journal.
Rob joins Dr Kavita Datta (Queen Mary University of London) and Professor Peter Kraftl (University of Birmingham) as equal co-Editors of Area. We look forward to working with Rob over the duration of his Editorship to help realise his aspirations for the journal.
