In this presentation Professor Tom Rippeth, from Bangor University, will explore an environmental disaster of the twentieth century (the Aral Sea) and an ongoing potential disaster (sea ice retreat in the Arctic Ocean) and use them to demonstrate the interconnectedness of the global oceans with our weather and climate.
