Area launches new regular feature

Area, one of the Society’s academic journals, has published its first paper as part of a new regular feature on ethics in geographical research.

Dr Mark Griffiths’ paper ‘From heterogeneous worlds: western privilege, class and positionality in the South’, published in the latest issue of Area, is the first contribution to the journal’s new ‘Ethics in/of geographical research’ regular feature. A Vice-Chancellor’s Research Fellow at the University of Northumbria, Mark’s paper is free to access via the journal’s website.

Mark also reflects further on ethics in geographical research in an associated blog post, published on the Society and Wiley blog,Geography Directions. 

The Editors encourage and welcome submissions to the ‘Ethics in/of geographical research’ feature from across the geographical community that consider diverse, contemporary concerns that fall under the broad remit of ethics. Further information is available from the journal’s website.
